Conference in Dublin
Our team will participate in the 2026 Conference of the Council for European Studies at University College Dublin (16.-18.6.2026).
We will present our panel, “From Solidarity to Systemic Change: Educational Policy Responses to the War in Ukraine in European Comparison.” In our contribution, we will discuss how European education systems—focusing on Germany, Czechia, Poland, and Ukraine—have responded to the arrival of displaced learners from Ukraine since 2022.
We will reflect on the shift from initial emergency solidarity measures to longer-term systemic adjustments, addressing language support, preparatory classes, curriculum alignment, assessment, and psychosocial care. By comparing these national cases, we aim to highlight both innovative policy solutions and structural constraints that shape equitable inclusion under conditions of protracted displacement.
